NORTHWIND MARINE

Standard and safety equipment

The required lifesaving, signalling and first-aid equipment carried aboard the Northwind Aurora 38 — stowed on deck, at the helm and in the cabin where the crew can reach it.

Eight items. Callouts 1 to 3 are the lifesaving kit, 4 to 6 the distress and signalling equipment, 7 and 8 the first-aid and watchkeeping stores. Quantities follow the offshore carriage requirement, not one-of-each.

Schematic deck plan of a 38 ft sport cruiser: life jacket in the cockpit locker, ring buoy on the stern rail, throw ring and line, EPIRB at the helm, flare case, air horn, first-aid kit and binoculars. Eight numbered callouts.
