A weekend aboard the Voyager 39
Journal · Gulf Coast
Friday, 4 PM: provisions aboard, 320 gallons in the tanks, Pensacola Pass astern. The Voyager 39 does her best work at 24 knots — fast enough to make Destin by dinner, quiet enough that nobody raises a voice over the sterndrives.
Saturday is the reason this boat exists: a swim off the transom before coffee, lunch on the hook, and two true cabins for the nap the office never allows. Sunday you run home into the sunset and understand what we mean when we say summer, measured in nautical miles.
